Hey Folks,
We posted a video on some of the browser choices for the Nook Color (DolphinHD & Skyfire) downloaded off Market. It may not be perfect but it is definitely a very nice experience nonetheless.

Great video which I enjoyed viewing. I’m new to Nook Color/Android and would like to know if the “launcherpro” app you spoke of is similar to a Boot Manager app., (i.e. allowing multiple versions of an OS to be selected from different partitions or Micro Storage Devices residing on the same computer/tablet)?
I assume that you have added a Micro Storage Device to the Nook on which you have downloaded the “Android 2.1 OS + apps.”, and have NOT overwritten the original Nook Color 1.0.0 stock firmware… thereby allowing either the original Nook environment or the “Android 2.1 + apps.” to be selected independently at power on.
Please advise if this is correct.

Hi Frank,
Thanks for checking out our videos. Launcher Pro isn’t really a boot manager, it is more of a UI running over the stock Android OS. You can easily switch between launchers via an app such as Home Switcher (http://www.appbrain.com/app/home-switcher/ymst.android.homeswitcher) You can set which launcher comes up on device start eg. factory default, launcher pro etc.
AFAIK the stock Nook Color firmware is safe as it is stored in ROM and can be easily restored with a hard reset. I actually tested this out by restoring the Nook Color in my video to the stock firmware, worked fine even after I re-rooted it. When new firmware updates are released you will probably have to re-root but it takes less than 10 minutes
